Cependant, en lui fournissant pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9nergie suppl\u00e9mentaire n\u00e9cessaire, le noyau peut \u00eatre incit\u00e9 \u00e0 basculer dans l\u2019\u00e9tat de spin oppos\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La R\u00e9sonance Magn\u00e9tique Nucl\u00e9aire (RMN) se produit lorsque le champ de radiofr\u00e9quence appliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 un \u00e9chantillon a exactement la bonne fr\u00e9quence, appel\u00e9e fr\u00e9quence de Larmor, pour induire ce basculement de spin.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cTcDGZ-7zY0&#8243;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h4>Le parfait magn\u00e9tom\u00e8tre<\/h4>\n<p>Le c\u0153ur d\u2019un magn\u00e9tom\u00e8tre RMN est simplement une bobine enroul\u00e9e autour d\u2019un \u00e9chantillon. La bobine fournit l\u2019\u00e9nergie radiofr\u00e9quence n\u00e9cessaire pour induire des basculements de spin dans l\u2019\u00e9chantillon. En pla\u00e7ant l\u2019axe de la bobine perpendiculairement au champ, on obtient la meilleure r\u00e9ponse. La r\u00e9solution est limit\u00e9e uniquement par la largeur de r\u00e9sonance, qui, en fonction du mat\u00e9riau de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon, peut \u00eatre tr\u00e8s \u00e9troite, de l\u2019ordre de 1 Hz.<\/p>\n<p>De plus, la RMN mesure toujours la force totale du champ plut\u00f4t qu\u2019une seule composante. Enfin, et surtout, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que le rapport gyromagn\u00e9tique est une constante physique, le magn\u00e9tom\u00e8tre RMN ne pr\u00e9sente pratiquement aucune d\u00e9rive et ne n\u00e9cessite aucune calibration.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h4>Le rapport gyromagn\u00e9tique<\/h4>\n<p>Il s\u2019av\u00e8re que la diff\u00e9rence d\u2019\u00e9nergie entre les \u00e9tats nucl\u00e9aires align\u00e9s et antialign\u00e9s d\u00e9pend lin\u00e9airement de l\u2019intensit\u00e9 du champ. Ainsi, le rapport de la fr\u00e9quence de r\u00e9sonance \u00e0 l\u2019intensit\u00e9 du champ est une constante physique appel\u00e9e le rapport gyromagn\u00e9tique (gamma).<\/p>\n<p>Il est d\u2019environ 42,5 MHz\/T pour les protons (noyaux d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne). D\u2019autres noyaux pr\u00e9sentent \u00e9galement une RMN, mais avec un gamma diff\u00e9rent, par exemple, 6,5 MHz\/T pour le deut\u00e9rium et 40 MHz\/T pour le fluor.<\/p>\n<p>Pour \u00e9tendre la plage de mesure de la RMN, nous pouvons donc utiliser un \u00e9chantillon avec un gamma diff\u00e9rent. L\u2019approche en onde continue est similaire \u00e0 l\u2019accord d\u2019une radio : nous ajustons lentement la fr\u00e9quence jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que nous \u00ab\u00a0accordions\u00a0\u00bb la r\u00e9sonance. Pour \u00eatre capable de la d\u00e9tecter, nous devons traverser plusieurs fois la fr\u00e9quence de r\u00e9sonance, ce qui signifie que nous devons moduler soit la fr\u00e9quence, soit le champ magn\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019approche en onde puls\u00e9e, en revanche, est comparable \u00e0 la sonnerie d\u2019une cloche : nous frappons l\u2019\u00e9chantillon avec une impulsion \u00e0 large bande, et l\u2019\u00e9chantillon absorbe et r\u00e9\u00e9met \u00e0 la fr\u00e9quence de Larmor. L\u2019approche en mode puls\u00e9 n\u00e9cessite des \u00e9lectroniques modernes \u00e0 commutation rapide, mais elle est plus directe et offre g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une plus grande pr\u00e9cision.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h4>Vitesse de mesure<\/h4>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s une r\u00e9sonance, l\u2019\u00e9chantillon est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement autoris\u00e9 \u00e0 lib\u00e9rer l\u2019\u00e9nergie absorb\u00e9e et \u00e0 retrouver son \u00e9tat d\u2019origine align\u00e9 sur le spin. Cela limite la fr\u00e9quence de mesure \u00e0 environ 10-100 Hz. De plus, pour r\u00e9duire la variabilit\u00e9, de nombreuses mesures de ce type sont souvent moyenn\u00e9es, produisant des taux de mesure effectifs approchant une seconde. Par cons\u00e9quent, la RMN est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utile uniquement pour des champs changeant lentement.<\/p>\n<h4>Homog\u00e9n\u00e9it\u00e9 du champ<\/h4>\n<p>Si le champ n\u2019est pas uniforme, un bord de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon r\u00e9sonnera \u00e0 une fr\u00e9quence diff\u00e9rente de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9. Le pic de r\u00e9sonance s\u2019\u00e9largit et s\u2019aplatit jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019il disparaisse compl\u00e8tement dans le bruit. Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne d\u00e9termine la limite d\u2019homog\u00e9n\u00e9it\u00e9 du champ en RMN.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h4>Gamme de mesure<\/h4>\n<p>Il existe \u00e9galement des limitations pratiques \u00e0 la plage utile de la RMN. Pour les champs magn\u00e9tiques bas, les noyaux ne sont que faiblement align\u00e9s, et la r\u00e9ponse de la RMN s\u2019estompe. Pour diminuer l\u2019inductance, la taille et le nombre de spires dans la bobine sont r\u00e9duits. Si nous ajoutons une capacit\u00e9 en parall\u00e8le, nous cr\u00e9ons un r\u00e9sonateur LC qui, s\u2019il est accord\u00e9 pour co\u00efncider avec la fr\u00e9quence de Larmor, am\u00e9liore consid\u00e9rablement la sensibilit\u00e9 de la d\u00e9tection du signal RMN.
