The magnetic field must often be measured not just at a single point, but over an entire volume. Metrolab has developed great expertise in this area, and all three of our measurement technologies can be used for field mapping. Metrolab's unique NMR Magnetic Field Camera measures up to 32 NMR probes simultaneously, providing a dramatic speedup and improvement in positioning. With a rotating coil, the integrator measures the angular field map of complex multipole fields. Finally, the three-axis magnetometer is the simplest way to make a complete field map, with all three components at each point.
Metrolab provides a complete line of accessories for each product line. For example, for the NMR teslameters, we offer probes for different measurement ranges and geometries, gradient compensation coils to help deal with non-uniform fields, multiplexers to attach up to 64 probes to a single teslameter, extension cables for runs up to 100m, a field regulation module for closed-loop stabilization of electromagnets, a high-stability time base for even less drift - everything a fashion-conscious teslameter could want.
Primarily intended for in-house calibration of Hall instruments, our range of permanent magnets are an ultra-compact alternative to a standard reference magnet. With field strengths up to 0.5 T, they provide a large region of uniformity, very low fringe field, openings for an NMR probe as well as the instrument under test, and a correction coil for NMR field regulation.
Metrolab is alone in offering such a wide range of fully industrialized instruments to precisely measure magnetic fields.
